The FUN1 (learn to skate) program for Nepean Ringette will be divided into groups based on ability and the number of volunteers on the ice. Based on the Ontario Ringette Association's FUN1 (learn to skate) program, learning basic skating skills will be taught first, then actual Ringette skills will be taught as the kids develop.
We offer parents the choice of two programs on Friday evenings or Sunday mornings. The locations and times are to be determined for the 2025-26 season. Occasionally, ice times may be cancelled due to city ice contracts and tournaments. Notifications will be sent in advance of these cancellations.
"Real" games are not played but there will be some mini games and scrimmages as the season progresses.
FUN1 (Learn to Skate) aged children who have played for 2 years, or have played one year and are 7 years old, may consider moving up to FUN2 if they have strong skating skills.
Ringette Canada Equipment Standards
All volunteers are required to wear a CSA approved helmet as well.
NEW: All registered bunny players will now receive a free Ringette Stick and Jersey's!
Registration for the 2025-26 season FUN1 (Learn to Skate) program will open in June 2025. Stay tuned for more information.
